Squamous cell carcinoma arising in Bowen's disease

Intraepidermal carcinoma of the skin is a relatively benign condition but it does have the potential to become a squamous cell carcinoma. This plaque on the back of the hand has thickened, the surface is eroded in one area and a nodule is present in another. The lesion should be treated surgically by excision and skin grafting.
